  1. MCP launch 42.5-meter motoryacht 'Hemisphere 140'

Brazilian company MCP successfully launched their 42.5-meter project 'Hemisphere' and she is now in the water on course for her delivery to her owner later on this Summer. After being ordered in May 2010 she was constructed under hull number 085 and Project Hemisphere name.

With her launching she now takes the title as the largest semi-displacement yacht built in South America. Her design is done in-house and Naval Architecture in conjunction with specialists Vripack. Dual 1,825 horse power Caterpillar C-32 engines are expected to produce a top speed of 19-knots and a cruising speed of 15-knots and at a further economical speed a range greater than 3,500 nautical miles can be expected.

On the interior she will accommodate ten guests in five spacious cabins inclusive of a fully-beam master suite and four double suites on the lower deck. The master is located on the forward main deck. Lloyd’s registered and MCA compliant, Project Hemisphere is expected to be handed over later in the Summer after sea trials.
