  1. Heesen 65-meter superyacht "Galactica Star"

Heesen has recently launched their largest yacht for the year and also ever. She is the 65-meter new flagship for the yard christened as "Galactica Star". Galactica Star is the largest motoryacht of the Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) to be launched as well. Her principle dimensions are 65-meters LOA, 11.4-meters BOA and 3.05-meters in draft. Her naval architecture is by Van Oossanen with an exterior design by Omega Architects. She was constructed in all-aluminium under project name "Omnia" and yard number YN16465. Her interior has been fleshed out by Bannenberg & Rowell. Speaking of the inteiror, Galactica Star will be carrying as many as twelve guests in total luxury.
  2. On the exterior there is plenty seating areas for guests to enjoy on each deck. There is a jacuzzi pool with a glass bottom located on the aft main deck. That glass bottom will pour natural light into the beach club, one deck directly below. Skip two decks up to the aft sundeck, there is another small dip pool with large sunpadded are to the aft of it.

Another special feature is the balcony on the starboard side of the Master Stateroom. Additionally, there is a touch-and-go helipad on the foredeck and when not in use, it easily becomes open space for setting out lounge chairs for the guests. As you have read, there is no tender storage in the traditional aft end of the hull, rather, Galactica Star's tenders are stored within the bow area and served by twin gull-wing shell doors on either side of the hull. Top speed should be just under 30-knots (27.5-knots) thanks to a pair of MTU 20V 4000 M93L engines feeding from 90,000LT capacity tanks. Galactica Star is expected to be delivered to her owner in June after sea trials are satisfied.
