  1. Citadel Yachts launch 102-foot "Polar Bear" Expedition

Citadel Yachts is pleased to announce the launch of their latest build, a 102-foot expedition yacht named Polar Bear, for an experienced U.S. yachtsman. This robustly constructed long range vessel features an efficient, steel displacement hull with a bulbous bow, active quad-fin stabilizers, bow and stern thrusters and fully protected propellers and rudders. Powered by twin 685-hp Caterpillar C-18B diesel engines, she has a range in excess of 5,000 nautical miles. Her massive 28-foot beam offers over 3,000 square feet of interior living space, with the engine room and lazarette providing an additional 720 square feet. This gives the owner the large living spaces normally found on vessels 30 feet longer, but with the added benefit of half the crew. Lower deck accommodations provide fully self-sufficient crews quarters forward with a separate stairway leading up to the starboard companionway.

Guest accommodations include two VIP staterooms with king-sized berths and two additional guest staterooms all with spacious private heads. The full-beam master suite is accessed via a private companionway located forward on the main deck, and includes a 52-inch flat screen TV with entertainment center, kingsize bed, and his and hers private baths with a large adjoining steam shower. The luxurious interior features handcrafted, satin finished, American cherry joinery throughout with a variety of exotic stone counter tops. The boat deck accommodates a 24-foot sport fishing boat and two RIB tenders. Polar Bear will spend her first season in Alaska.
