  1. Christensen launches 162-foot "Remember When"


    Christensen Shipyard is pleased to announce that its latest yacht, the 162’ M/Y "Remember When", is near completion. Featuring an all composite, vacuum infused hull and superstructure, Remember When is being built for Christensen’s fourteenth repeat customer John Rosatti, who, currently owns the 2005 Christensen 157’ M/Y "Nice N’ Easy", currently for sale.

    Remember When’s interior was designed by Carol Williamson and Associates to be an updated version of his current yacht. The yacht has 6 spacious cabins, including the Owners Cabin, VIP cabin, and 4 guest cabins which allow for up to 12 guests; interior woodwork built by Christensen’s in-house staff, has been done in high-gloss black walnut.

    The custom stonework throughout was also done in-house at the yard’s state-of-the-art marble shop. The yacht’s exterior styling done by Christensen’s naval architects, and features a raised forward full-shear bulwark (which allows for a 19’ jet tender); vertical pilothouse windows; an extended sundeck and swim-deck. Powered by twin MTU 12V 4000 series engines, she will cruise at a comfortable 12 knots, while topping out at 17.5 knots.

    Additionally, the vessel is outfitted with Dynamic Positioning and Hold at Anchor by Ocean Yachts Systems (OYS) and Navis maneuvering and control system. M/Y Remember When is fully classified & certified to ABS (Maltese Cross) A1-AMS & MCA Unlimited Cruising and after final fit out and sea trials, will travel on her own bottom to debut at the Fort Lauderdale Show in October 2010.
