  1. H2X launches Blue Coast 95-foot "Cartouche"

Very recently the French yacht builder H2X took the Blue Coast 95 from the land to the water. The large sailing catamaran also known as "Cartouche", was lifted into the water via crane. Work on this beauty started near mid-2009 and progressed steadily until her recent launch, taking just around fourteen months.

"The Blue Coast 95’ will be the fourth largest catamaran in the world. With contemporary design, panoramic views and oversize spaces, the naval architect and designer Jean-Jacques COSTE created a world-class ship to meet the guests pleasure and the requirements of the crew activities. Ideal for comfort, sailing performances, entertaining and relaxation, the Blue Coast 95’ features the best compromise between security, luxurious fittings and top quality equipments.

The Blue Coast 95’ will include a retractable boom (unique for a boat of that size) thanks to the partnership specifically developed between H2X, COSTE DESIGN & PARTNERS and the sail maker PETIT JEAN COMPOSITES. The catamaran will use a sail plan with a 230 sqm main sail, a 115 sqm solent, a 280 sqm gennaker on a 110 ft pivoting mast."
