  1. Alloy Yachts launch 58.4-meter "Kokomo"

Alloy Yachts in New Zealand have launched their largest yacht to date. The 58.4-meter "Kokomo" was launched nearing the end of 2009. The large sloop-rigged yacht also represents the largest build for other associated companies and contractors involved in the said build.

"At 08:00 on December 16th, the owner’s christened their new 58.4m KOKOMO, designed by Dubois with a contemporary interior by Redman Whiteley Dixon, all beautifully built by Alloy Yachts International in New Zealand. Peter Wilson said "It was very exciting to see this, our largest yacht to date, roll gracefully down the slipway and be launched in Henderson and to then make her way to the deeper waters on the Auckland waterfront for commissioning."

Not only is this the largest for MCM to date, but also for Dubois NA, Alloy Yachts International, Southern Spars and Doyle Sails - lots of firsts here. This is a magnificent milestone for us and we eagerly look forward to sailing trials early in the new year."
