  1. Van Dam Nordia and Simonis Voogd team up on 95-foot sloop design

Shipyard Van Dam Nordia and design studio Simonis Voogd have joined forces to develop a series of high performance cruising yachts. The first model of this top line is a 95 ft aluminum and carbon vessel sailyacht offering the perfect symbiosis of a bluewater cruiser with the comfort of a five-star hotel and a pedigree regatta performance.

The 95’ high performance cruiser has a raised saloon with a glass panoramic roof and a cockpit with sliding roof. Its flush deck has two steering positions and a spacious sunbathing platform aft. The yacht is equipped with a lazarette that stores a 3.85 Williams Turbojet. The hydraulic transom door gives access to the garage and serves as a permanent teak swimming platform.

The cockpit and saloon are situated on the same level. A very spacious owner’s stateroom with his and hers bathrooms has direct access to the saloon. Additionally, the yacht includes two guest suites with their own bathrooms and a comfortable lounge area below deck.

The 2+1 crew area with separate access includes a cabin, galley, mess and head. As is expected of a Nordia, the yacht has a very large engine room with a powerful 320 hp engine that is accessible from both within the yacht and from the deck. A lifting keel ranging from 2.50 to 4.50 meters ensures that the yacht has access to a wider range of mooring places and marinas, and that it can compete in the most prestigious regattas. The 95’ high performance cruiser has a sail area of 482 square meters close-hauled and no less than 908 square meters before the wind.
