  1. Perini Navi Unveils 39-meter Philippe Briand Designed Performance Sloop
Italian sail yacht specialists Perini Navi recently unveiled a couple new designs and projects of which one of them is a motoryacht from the Vitruvius series of the Picchiotti brand. However, we will focus on the 39-meter performance sloop designed by Philippe Briand. The sloop is being tipped to be introduced as part of Perini Navi's racing line and is build number C.2196.

The overall design presents a very sleek-looking racing/cruising yacht featuring lines by Philippe Briand in conjunction with the technical departments at Perini Navi. To match the fast and light profile of the yacht the interior benefits from large amounts of glazing to the superstructure. An ample sweep of windows along the sides of the superstructure pour natural light towards the interior. More light filters in from above with the inclusion of glazing works to the roof of the structure. She'll be a luxury yacht focused on optimizing her racing capabilities and will have a carbon rig and if the owner desires, the main sheet can be a square-top sheet to help improve the potential force from the top of the mast. She'll have significant ocean-crossing range under sail but if she is motoring her range is going to be just under 2,000 nautical miles. For her motoring she will feature twin CAT C2 Acert engines. Her draft is variable with the keel up it stands at 3.50-meters and with it down she draws 5.50-meters.
