Another new design surfaces from within the deep superyacht design pool, this time from Studio Franco Gianni. Their proposal is for a 47-meter powered catamaran design that is just about as sleek as they come. The boat has some special features that are sure to keep you interested.

Starting with the way the yacht's tenders could be launched or recovered. The SC154 will be able to launch her tenders the conventional way, that is, outboard from the hull. However, what happens if the sea state is not ideal for launching? The solution is to launch them inboard, that is, between the hulls and taking full advantage of the sheltered area created by the multihull platform.

Another nice feature is the yacht's pool. She boasts a near 3-meter square pool perched centrally on the very back of the boat. That's a well-suited place to take a dip while enjoying the view of an exotic shoreline nearby. Another nice feature is how all the guest cabins are placed in one hull. Usually in powercat design both hulls host guest cabins but on this design they are in one hull leaving the other hull to be occupied by gym, spa, cinema, crew cabins as well as their mess. For the guests six large cabins are envisioned.

The flybridge is another nice area that is open, clutter-free and open-air. The aft section can be easily outfitted with sun loungers, there is space for dining and bar under a large hard-top. The overall construction of this design calls for aluminum hulls and composite-type superstructure, either in fiberglass or carbon fiber.

The SC154 will run on MTU 4000 engines connected to waterjets. The design brief basically was to design a boat that is capable of going most places, handle different conditions yet while still having the sleek and sexy appeal that superyacht monohulls maybe attributed to having.
