  1. New design for Dashew FPB97' cruising yacht unveiled

Dashew Offshore is well known for their exploits in offshore cruising yachts. Their latest offering is a 97-foot model that was born out of a need for a yacht that was economical to run and that was on the threshold of being large enough for a couple to operate.

Thus the FPB97 was born and with eye-watering statistics packed into the design, she is sure to be worth the purchase. Remember these are offshore, 'heavy weather' cruising yachts offering long range for their size and robust structures of construction.

The range on the new FPB97 has been projected at 5,000 nautical miles at 11.5-knots. She will also have the capability to right herself if capsized. The 97-foot yacht will feature a lower carbon footprint than usual especially at anchor being independent of fossil fuel use while there.

The FPB97 packs other design highlights as well with her well thought-out interior that features a 'Matrix Deck'. The Matrix Deck is essentially a blend between a fly bridge and penthouse as well as a 'Grand Room' that joins the joys of living, working and entertaining together. Accommodation is accounted for with spacious sleeping berths. The Master Stateroom boasts a 7.7m full-beam owners’ suite has a walk-in wardrobe, en-suite with shower, tub and sauna, as well as lounging space.

Overall the new design for the FPB97 combines rugged and angular appearance in design with the practicality of offshore cruising while having comfortable surroundings to live in. The vessel is far more efficient that might seem on the surface and aimed at having the ability to be operated by a couple.
