New Build:Pendennis Nostromo

March 12, 2008:Pendennis Yards Falmouth Cornwall, Englandendennis Yachts of the UK have recently announced that work is underway on the construction of a new 30M long sailing yacht.

The yacht is under the name, Nostromo with a design by Dubois Naval Architects. Interior will be by RWD (Redman Whiteley Dixon). Commissioning of the project started in August, 2007 and fabrication of the hull in January, 2008.

Currently, the deck of the sloop has been laid along with the bulkheads. The stringer system that will recieve the plate cladding, is well advanced and soon, penetrations will be made in the bulkheads for works to be fitted.

Finally, the crucial stage of the hull-turning is scheduled to be made by the end of March, 2008. If everything goes well, the hull will be finished by the middle of April when painting and associated works will begin.
