Columbus 46-meter megayacht​

Another new build from the Palumbo shipyard is the Columbus 46-meter. She is a full-displacement, one-off design by Studio Spadolini. Full load displacement is approximately 400 tonnes and her maximum speed is 16 knots thanks to a pair of CAT 3508B engines. Tank capacity for fuel is estimated to be 60,000 LT with an impressive 4,000 nautical mile range at 12.5-knots. Fresh water tanks can hold up to 10,000 LT. She is to be built in steel for the hull and aluminum for the superstructure.

The interior design is dominated by browns, tans and creams creating an almost neutral effect. The interior is concentrated over three decks. On the lowest level, there is room aft for storage of the yacht's main tender and a few jet skis. Further forward is the guest accommodation with two doubles and two twins. Forward towards the bow are the mess and cabins for the crew. Up one level and you will find the master stateroom, which is full beam in nature and having a folding balcony on the starboard side. Moving aft shows entertainment and dining spaces with the main saloon and formal dining room. Up another level is the bridge deck with it's bridge and sky lounge and accommodation for the captain.

Outside on the aft of this deck is space for optional dining with provisions in seating for up to twelve. On the sun deck the yacht's communal jacuzzi is on the forward end of that deck surrounded by sunpads. The remainder of the space is open for whatever use is needed. Completion can be expected in 2013.
