First AB Yachts 166​

The largest yacht in AB's range at present is the AB Yacht 140. However, a new flagship model has been created that is significantly larger. AB Yachts is now going to build their first 49.90-meter yacht in this new model. Essentially she is an enlargened version to the AB 140.

Power to the AB 166 will come via triple MTU M93L engines and feed into AB's quality water-jet package. The estimated top speed will be 48 knots, impressive for such a large open yacht. Cruising speed is set at 40 knots and full tank is estimated at 35,000 LT with a range of 2,500 nautical miles at 12 knots. The new model also will place AB in the waters that Overmarine's Mangusta 165 are treading.

The AB 166 will have a very large master stateroom located to the fore of the yacht. More desirous and comforting is the connection to the sea in the master stateroom, not only through the large windows provided but by way of two folding balconies, port and starboard. The pampering for the prospective owner does not end there. There is also a built-in pool/jacuzzi wrapped in structure on the bow, certainly to be a hit feature. In total, accommodation for guests will be ten under normal circumstances.

AB's new model will allow owners to have a bigger yacht with more flexibility while offering the superb interior and exterior spaces known for by AB. The new model appears to be four decks tall with the fourth deck being small and possibly for the secondary navigation station. Delivery of the first AB 166 can be made in 24 months for signing of contract.
