    Hi,
Have a 1998 Luhrs 32 open in La Paz , BCS, Mexico. Hull in excellent shapes. Boat has brand new electronics including radar and Nothern Lights diesel generator.
Has two 454 cc gas engines that need rebuilding g or replacement. Probably same on transmissions.

if anyone has advice on what I should do, please send me a note. Thank you
    Jim. [email deleted]

I'm assuming you are in a remote area. Probably one or two shops that offer engine services.
Rebuilding gas engines never fix everything, unless everything is replaced.
Exhaust manifolds, fuel injection or carburetors, pumps and lots more little things have a short life.
    If any warranties, usually short.

What dealer is near you? Have a good following? Positive talk about him on the dock?
Re-power all new with him and what he sells. purchase extended warranties if available.

Now, If I can spend more of your money, small new diesels would work nicely also.
Gas sux, dual fuel boats suck even more.
