Need a local guy for a delivery from Hendrics Isle to Riverbend Marina for a haulout:

    52' classic sailboat, single screw.

Boat and engine in fairly good shape:

I did the same trip on the boat 4 or 5 months ago: The boat has plenty of power and maneuvers good with big rudder and balanced keel.

Will not do it again as I could not stand up in the cockpit when driving:
Bimini top is too low, the wheel is behind ya and it gets tireing for the 1:00 / 1:20 hr delivery..I am 6'2" but the owner is short and likes the setup. Problem is, he is abroad and needs a haul-out before he arrives in May to go sailing.

Soo, looking for a short local guy that knows the New River and single screw sailboats.

Not sure what the going rate is for that kind of gig: $100 for skippy and $50 for matey each way?...

Ok, I'll up the price but gee, these days with un-employemnt and foreclosures ya'd think it would be easy to find help @ $100.00 per hour..

He was hoping to have the boat hauled a couple of weeks ago so he could just step aboard and go sailing, but time is running out as he will fly into town the 29th. Then he might as well do it himself.

Hey Norseman, did the owner finally get his boat over there?

    Just curious.

Yeah, the owner is in town now and will do the deed himself.

If not, I will contact you. :)

    Norseman,
That's sea time. If you did these runs you wouldn't need to go to class for renewal.:D

Problem is, that trip is not nearly long enough to count as a day, but then again who is really going to check.
