As to not dirty up Carl's Acura NSX "I'm going to buy this car / now where's my lottery ticket?!?!" Thread I thought I'd post a few other pics from the show that I took. American Muscle of course was in the house, considering Detroit is "their" house. Hot Wheels Concept Camaro Production Camero Mustang GT 500 Super Snake Mustang BOSS 302
Lincoln MKZ Concept. Very.... very Maserati-ish.... Very sharp lines while maintaining the beauty of Lux so to speak.
MZB CLS Class Grocery Getter. (glossy or mat) and of course their north of 300K price tag.... SLS AMG
While heading out of business, the Maybach 57S was there again this year. Opulent Lux abounds. Basically a 500 class MZB, stretched, modified, and tripled in price.
Bentley made their showing with their same three as last year. New colors. Higher prices. Same pretentious BS attitude.
And saving the best for last.... oh pitter patter my heart.... the 997 Gen II. To quote Jeremy Clarkson, the 997 will "make love to your fingertips and stir your soul." For the record your Honor, I love this car. I spent about 2 hours with the Porsche guys talking about current products, racing, GT2's / 3's, future products, etc. etc. I could have spent all week talking to the product guys from Germany. If in the off chance they follow this forum, many thanks to Sven for his time, detail, and the opportunity to sit down with him. Did I mention I'm a Pcar fan? My father has a turbo. He always wants to drive mine (non-turbo) to "compare", however he rarely.... rarely lets me drive his. I think in 5 years, I've driven it twice. Maybe three times. Once he let me out of 3rd gear, but never in 5th or 6th. But he'll peg the rev-chip in mine every time. Go figure.
Any pics of the Subaru BRZ? I'm really anxious to see one of those in the flesh... real pics in relation to people and other cars. I'll say that's my summer dream car... the WRX for winter, and a BRZ for summer... Hey, I dream small. Baby steps!

Great Stuff Thanks for sharing the pics, etc. And hopefully this will not swell your head to much, but your thread presentation should be required reading for all newbies ! You always fit the pics just right ! The editorials are concise, and honest. Thanks Propbet... Of course when one has such beauty to work with... Now where did I hide that slush fund...
Great pics. Was the cute little Alfa Romeo 4SC there? May be able to afford one of those. Alfa say they may return to the North American market now that some Chryslers are on Fiat/Alfa platforms.
That would be the car that set the Isle Of Man TT record for a car: LINK Pay close attention to the "moment".
Gorgeous! It's like a mini GT supercar... priced for the rest of us. Unfortunately I've got nearly 3 years left on the WRX lease. By the time I can get a BRZ my son will be 14, and I doubt he'd be happy if I subjected him to that very small backseat. LOL I need to find a way to work more to be able to afford a second car, for "play time".
If Kevin pronounces the BRZ well and good after he buys his, I might have to have one, too. BTW, guy on a Honda liter bike last June did the TT [lap] in just over 17 minutes for an average better than 131 MPH. Nice show coverage, Propbet, thanks!
No problem. And it doesn't go to my head. Far from it. In fact, I wish I could photograph as well as the YF crew as shown in their reviews. However I know they are using gear that surpasses mine my a good stretch. Not that I'm using junk by any means. Glad everyone else enjoyed. If there are others of interest, or if you wish for higher resolution images, feel free to PM me and I'll gladly shoot them over via email or provide an offsite link. Fish: The Alfa may have been there, however I went back through my shots to see if I got any of it, and didn't find any. I do recall Chrysler / Fiat / Alfa there, but didn't take to focus on them. Cheers-
It's a pretty cool looking car. My first impression of it was traditional Subaru heritage with queues taken from the 300Z as far as general shape of the car, two seater (small duffelbag in the back 'seat'). If it performs like its big sister, the WRX, ther'll be no scarcity in popularity with these in the 20something street performance crowd.
