    Hi there.

    This week so did i bought a Bertram 28" flybridge from -79.

    Well as you see so do i need to replace almost everything. First so do i need to take everything apart.

    Look like it needs a little bit more than a clean and polish.

    Withthe amount of work needed, I can only assume you are single or soon to be single.

    That looks like it will certainly be a fulltime job for the foreseeable future.

    Are you going to stick with the Gas engines or re-power with Diesel?

    Looks like it's going to be a VERY EXPENSIVE Bertram 28. The tough lesson of the economics of a "fixer upper" is going to be learned on this one. Very rewarding and very expensive. Have fun with it. I love my Bertram 28.

    One of Bertram's "better" ideas- put the hatch edge over the top of the carb. where water can drip all over it. I wouldn't take it apart. Give it a good scrubbing and remove the junk. I would check the wheels and thru hulls, do a bottom job and get it in the water where it's not so hard to get on and off. I don't care how well you plan you will forget something and end up making 50 trips up and down a ladder.
