Mulder Yachts Established in 1958 by Dick Mulder, Sr., Mulder Shipyards has evolved into one of the leading yacht builders in the Dutch yacht building industry. Family owned and operated with the next generation of Mulder’s at the helm, the yards global reputation for quality was built on three pillars; the classic super favorite cruisers, the later favorite superior cruisers and a range of Mulder custom-built motoryachts. The last of Mulder’s sailing yachts were built in the 1970’s, the largest of which was 12 meters in length. Since this time, Mulder has focused on the construction of motor yachts, becoming more modern with each passing year. In 1984, the yard was taken over by 22-year old Dick Mulder, Jr., leaving his father to retire at the age of 72. By the early 1990’s, Mulder had begun manufacturing steel & aluminum hulls, displacing the wood used throughout previous generations. A range of yachts known as the Futura line was developed and new facilities were added too. By the late 1990’s, Mulder moved into large flybridge yachts and traditionally styled motoryachts, followed by stylish express yachts and classic gentlemen’s cruisers.
