Built on the successful platform of her smaller sisters, the Morris Yacht 52 footer has offered larger interior space as well as space for development. A collaboration between Sparkman & Stephens and Morris Yachts themselves resulted in the formulation of the M52 sailing yacht.

The 52.10 foot cored vinylester composite yacht was designed by Sparkman & Stephens. The vessel weighs just over 32,000 lbs at half load. With this load, she has a draught of about 5 feet, 8 inches. A livable beam of 13 feet is also offered.

This vessel has all the makings of a classic design. The exterior styling is of a traditional flair being accentuated by a deckhouse, teak joinery, toe rail, elbow trim and the like.

The M52 is a sloop rigged sailing yacht however, the wind does not always blow consistently and sailing in harbours is prohibited as well. As a result an auxillary motor for propulsion has been implemented as one would expect. She carries a Yanmar 54 HP Saildrive diesel engine connected to a shaft with a 3 bladed 'Flex-O-fold' propeller.

As it relates to sailing, the M52 has been developed for easy handling. There is a Leisurefurl in-boom furling system. However, Below on the interior of the yacht, the accommodation elaborates with a large owner's suite to the fore of the yacht. Large centrally oriented queen-sized bed, hanging lockers, drawers and its own private head are all neatly presented.

The aft cabin incorporates a doubled berth with full sized hanging locker. Additionally there are two large drawers and an overhead hatch for ventilation. "The aft-located head is completed with a manually operated toilet, Corian countertop with Corian sink, hot and cold pressurized water, wall mounted shower, molded fiberglass floor pan with shower sump, large outboard storage locker and overhead hatch for ventilation."
