I've noticed that most of the builds in the 40mt plus range the crew outnumber the owners friends

Is this down to Yacht builders , Owners requests or having to comply stiff regulations ..

    Hi,

I would say 50 mt is a better point for the hired help to outnumber the rest

It is mostly down to how many people are required to handle the requests of the Owner/Guests, keep the inside and outside clean and feed everyone.

The actual number required by law to run one from one place to another is not that great.

I agree with Kiwi it's about 50m. Well part of it is maintanence and crew required to actually run the boat as well as the tenders. But a Typical Crew arrangement on a 50m would be a Captain, Engineer, First Officer, Mate, 2 Deckhands or 1 deckhand and a dive master, Chief Stewardess, Stewardess, chef, and possibly a bartender or massuese or another stewardess.......
