    Hi YF Members ,
We are currently cruising RENA out of the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Seaway before snow falls! As luck would have it, we will be making this trip during Movember, so while we are cruising the nearly 4000 miles from Chicago to Florida I (along with 3 of our crew) will be following my friend Dewey (aka YF Member CaptBPomeroy) into the trenches of the battle against male cancers by making a ridiculous and embarrassing attempt to grow a mustache on my baby-face. You see, Movember (formerly November) is dedicated to growing moustaches and raising awareness and funds for men’s health. I have joined the movement and will be donating my upper lip to the cause for 30 days. My moustache (Mo) will hopefully spark conversations along our route home , and no doubt generate some laughs; all in the name of raising vital awareness and funds for cancers affecting men.

Why do I hope to inspire support and passion about men’s health?
*1 in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime
*A man is diagnosed with prostate cancer every 2.2 minutes
*1 in 2 men will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime
*24% of men are less likely to go the doctor compared to women

So if you'll please Click Movember United States - Home to donate to the cause, I will suffer through the itchy discomfort of facial hair under my nose, coupled with all of the mocking insults you want to throw my way as I post frequent photos of my budding soup-strainer.

You can even write a check payable to “Movember Foundation”, reference my name and Registration Number 1447392 and send it to: Movember Foundation, PO Box 2726, Venice, CA 90294-2726

We only have a month to grow Mo's and raise awareness and funds, so please come along for the ride.

Funds raised will help make a tangible difference to the lives of others. Through the Movember Foundation and their men’s health partners, the Prostate Cancer Foundation and LIVESTRONG, Movember is funding world class awareness, research, educational and support programs which would otherwise not be possible.

Thank you for donating and for helping me change the face of men's health. Go the Mo!

Just be thankful it's not the St. Baldrick's Foundation.:D Both good causes, but I'd rather have a mo (since mine's been on since I was 16) than a shaved head (always afraid it won't grow back). Good luck and I hope you raise much cash and much awareness.

Been trying to look older my entire life. My wife won't kiss me whenever I shave it down (about every 2 years & grow it right back). Congratulations. That money will go to good things. Hey, did you use a mustache cup?
