I am new to your forum and have a question that may sound naive to those of you experienced in metal hulls but not to a novice like me. I am looking at a metal hull boat and have thousands of questions running through my mind. My most pressing though is were do I go to get information about this type of hull, how to maintain it, and any other things I should know.

I have to admit to feeling very overwhelmed and really intimidated about these hulls.

So any help will be appreciated.

Understand completely - hence the reason I built the "CC Roamers" website in the first place.
I, too, was totally flumoxed and really didn't know what to think about "metal" hulled boats when I found my current Roamer ("Tin Tonic" - http://www.geocities.com/tin_tonic/) for sale.
Consequently, I accumulated a pile of info from the web about Roamers and metal-hulled boats in general. Afterwards, instead of trashing it, I figured I could build website about Roamers instead.
The best start point for understanding the merits of steel & aluminum as hull materials is here:

    Many good articles.
The Metal Boat Society is also a wealth of info:

One thing to keep in mind, the US Navy is made out of metal as are most of the higher-line yachts in the world.
    Read on! :p

I cannot locate this site you provide in your response:

I would really appreciate if you would fill in the rest of the information. I liked your site about restoring your Roamer.

If I do wind up purchasing a Roamer I will definitely join your club. In the meantime I appreciate all the information you have provided.
