Deciding on July’s winners wasn’t easy. There were only a couple of people that really rose to the challenge, so I’m going to use this month to reward some very deserving members based on their contribution all along, not just the month of July.

    1. OutMyWindow – As the name implies, our latest member has not only brought new views to YF… he’s shared some of the best in the Pacific Northwest with us. But more than a unique vantage point, he's got an interest that rivals the best yacht watchers... and he's just as informed too! Glad to have you aboard!

    2. BrandonW – Brandon wasn’t overly active this month, but since he joined us in January, he’s consistently participated and offered helpful advice. I hope YF attracts more people like this in the future. We’re glad to have you aboard Brandon!

    3. AMG – While mere mortals think Mercedes when they see this acronym, those of us on YF associate the same with one of the world’s best yacht designers. I think we can all agree, if there were a grand prize… Lars would be the clear winner. But it’s not because of his design work, or the friendly & helpful advice he’s always ready with… it’s because this is a true gentleman and an ambassador to our industry. We’re very proud to have Lars on YachtForums... and yes, I’m kissing-up in case I hit the lottery. ;)

    4. Kevin – Although he’s been quiet this month, Kevin has been here ALL along helping to keep the momentum going. In addition to participation and possessing a great sense of humor, Kevin has always stayed on top of the site, kept me informed on issues and looked after YF like it was his own. As of this month, he’s helping even more... by becoming a moderator. Thank you Kevin!!!

    5. Teenna – She’s been MIA most of the month, but between the few posts she made earlier in July and many more in June… Teenna challenged the status quo with a different perspective based on some very obvious knowledge and a passion for all things yachts. While we try to keep things light and fun around here, sometimes you have to ruffle a few feathers to draw lurkers out of the shadows… and she did just that. Thanks for keeping it interesting Teenna! Hope to hear more from you. :)

I need shipping addresses, apparel sizes and choice of builders from each of July's winners. Drop me a PM, or e-mail... Carl (at) YachtForums (dot) com.

    Congrats to all!

Thanks Carl and thanks to Jannick for appreciating my presence!

Representing myself and my design works besides responding to questions and being a moderator, is at times walking a thin line. But I hope you all feel that I am not too biased towards my own designs. It is just that by using my designs as illustrations, I am not infringing any copyrights or bashing other designers job. Same as with photos, if I use my own I feel safe and I don´t like to put links to photo-sites, especially not to password protected where you have to register...

That said, I hope we can get more members to post pictures they have taken, both on yachts and destinations. Especially those we do not already know about.

    Thanks again!
    /Lars

I meant to reply to this last night, but I guess the cold meds kicked in before I got to it... LOL I was just reading it now and thought "didn't I already say something here?" Guess not.

Congrats to all of you. But I have a question for Lars. Do you ever sleep:confused: ? I see your posting during different times of the day. I know you are in the land of 6' blondes, but I have seen you post replies when it is 10:00PM EST therefore it must be around 4:00AM there. Do you have some vampire blood? Sorry, I have been watching the Blade movie trilogy this weekend;) .

Thanks Lionel, no I never sleep... but seriously, I am spending a little too much time in front of the computer, about 17 hours a day...

This is why I took some time off during the summer, to rest my eyes on something more distant while being out on the boat.

May I also thank Carl, my box has arrived and I can now represent four shipyards at the same time!:D
