    I am thinking about purchasing a Marquis 65' 2006. There are two diffenent ones that I am looking at.
    One has Cat 18 1000hp , the other has MTU 1200hp.
    Anyone know how the Cat 18 perform versus the MTU?

    If you are really interested in the HP see which one can be run the most at WOT.

    The CAT C18 will be an E Rating at that output which means according to the manufacturer you can have it at full chat for a 1/2hr every 6 hrs of operation.

    I have a customer looking at 65' Marquis. It seems that it's a heavy yacht that is not fast and the difference between the C18's and the 1200hp is about 2 knots and cruise and from the 1200hp to 1350's/1400's another 2 knots.
