Although the name sounds Spanish or Italian they are Australian.

We bought a new 2019 M64 in June and can’t say enough good about the boat and the Maritimo support team.

If you haven’t been aboard a Maritimo, it’s worth a look. Best in class for engineering and design in my opinion. Our M64 is seaworthy and fuel efficient - carries 1500 gallons of fuel for a range that means we run out of daylight before we run out of fuel.

We love the enclosed bridge, but the X series express boats are top of the game too.

They are the same owners/team that started and sold Riviera, another Aussie boat builder.

Do you have stabilizers on the 64 vessel, or do you find a need for them...

We put in a Seakeeper 16 and are very happy with it. (Our second boat with SeaKeeper.) Need it? No. Love it and use it all the time? Yes. The vessel is inherently stable - especially underway, but we find it makes guests much more comfortable at anchor, and underway as well.

Did you have an l650 that you sold and if so how does the Maritimo compare? I have a Searay 48 sundancer and now that Searay dropped the larger yachts I myself was looking a the x series as my next boat.

I did have am L650FLY. The comparison is complicated, but several of us have gone, or are going from SR to Maritimo already.

The Maritimo is like a breath of fresh air. Out of the box a well engineered, flawlessly executed build. That’s not to say there were no “new boat” issues, but the Maritimo team is on top of it in ways Sea Ray couldn’t be. She’s got a smoother, dryer ride than the L650FLY, 20% more fuel efficient. The stand up engine room is best in class, layout in general is very conducive to both life at sea and dockside entertaining. Systems are straight forward and robust. In short, I have zero complaints after 4 months of ownership.

I have been aboard the X50 and x60. Both are standouts, and worth serious consideration.

So happy the Maritimo has worked out well for you. I remember when you were a fan of the L650FLY, but also objective regarding it and it's our private discussions with you that led us to the decision not to purchase one. Hopefully your "new boat" issues were something less than 10% of what you encountered on the Sea Ray.

At that time we purchased a Sunseeker instead.

We have been on a couple of Maritimo's and the side decks stood out s a good idea. They are safe walk around and have wondered why more SF's convertibles have not used this design. They would work well for fishing, if you had multiple fish on you could walk one around the bow. Just a lot of advantages over a typical FS's cockpit setup with narrow side decks and no rail. They did appear to be a quality boat.

Looking for anyone with an experience with a Maritimo M series with the hydraulic swim platform. Any issues? How does it affect the performance? Did you use it to carry a tender?

We bought our M64 in June. We have the hydraulic platform which works as advertised. They use proprietary hardware and the system seems much more robust than those I’ve had in the past.

We just installed a crane and plan on buying a tender to mount on the bow. The swim platform may eventually get a jet ski, but for the time being we use it to launch kayaks and other toys.

Just bought a 2015 S62 Maritimo Sedan. Loving it for the ride, range, being shaft driven, serviceability, build quality, finishing quality, stand up engine room, full washer and dryer, full beam master with king size bed, side helm door, rear galley with trifold door to teak cockpit and the owner additions of a water maker, yacht controller, diesel heat and Freedom lift. Spectacular production yacht with safety and quality all around you. Came from a 41 SeaRay Sundancer(2002 410 model), also a fun family boat, but no comparison otherwise. Turned away from all the other brands due to cramped complex engine rooms and small sleeping quarters. This yacht solved both those issues and then kept adding options I had trouble finding in other yachts that suited our style. We like the single level living and stability of the sedan with less requirement for stabilization. All of us value different things, for my family and I, this checked more boxes than any other, 62 LOA. 17'4" beam, 60,000 lbs and easy to operate single handed. Will investigate a fly bridge model one day, the late model M64 seems like an amazing yacht so does the new S60. Fun to keep dreaming while enjoying what you have.
