    Just a quick question about marine surveys. What is the difference between SAMS, NAMS, and USSA? Is one better than the other? Whta do you all recommend?

    I believe that the qualifications of the individual surveyor are more important than which association they belong. I have run accross some surveyors who are very good and some not so good, who are members of both.
    I tell clients to ask for copies of past surveys of similar boats and a resume of the surveyors experience.
