A new large Lurssen project has come to light, it is another 100+-meter project that we know nothing about. I've seen the project name 'Alibaba' being floated around on social media channels by well-known channels but we naturally do not know this for sure. The vessel emerged from the construction shed at the Lemwerder facility to be welded together. There is no timeline for the delivery of this vessel but it can be imagined the vessel is another 2 to three years away.

Looks like another new Lurssen Ekspedition Yacht following "Norn" and "Project Cosmos". All these 3 yachts are of absolutely different and original architecture. As to "Project Alibaba" the Design reminds me earlier Lurssen yacht "Pacific" built in 2010 but this time in enlarged version. The same bow cofiguration, the same style and even the same colour painted. More probably intended for the same Owner.

Project 'Alibaba' has been launched (probably prematurely) but it is out in the open and there is no mistaking what successor it is to. "Pacific X".

Not sure if I love it to be honest. It's probably the mast/funnel arrangement...something about it i'm not digging right now.

Impressive. The radar arch sweeping into the stack is something else. Not sure I have seen anything like it on other yachts. Video does it justice - pictures didnt.

Yes, I know I said I didn't like it at first in the photos but the video surely does make it look alot better from that top-down angle. I'll wait until the yacht is fully finished.

I was on the ship at the time of the accident and I didn't like the design very much,Since the owner was already known and loved the first yacht, clear demands were evident in the design.
