I have been looking at picking up a set of used lopolights for the port and starboard navigational lights , they have lights that are taller and will fit the space better but they are for a 160’ and larger, can I put these on a 65’ boat ? Am I breaking any rules ? If they are to bite will others boaters think my boat is bigger? Btw are these lights any good or just exspesive ?

I've had to change a few under warranty as they burn out. There are better lights on the market, in my opinion.

    IMO,
At 65', your inches from the required 20Meter lights, but you probably already have them. Then you already have the 50meter light range.
It's just a brighter mast head light at 20 & 50m over the 12M rules.

The larger housings are for CFR and Underwriter Lab requirements for large commercial boats.

    Go for it.
