    Hey everybody!

I would really appreciate if someone has the knowledge about engineer's licenses in the yacht industry.

As an american citizen who served in the navy for 3.5 years as an engineer on-board a boat and another 7 months as the engineer on board a private superyacht- which license should i apply to?

What are the advantages each one of these licenses bring?
Do all the flags accept the two licenses the same?
Which one would be the easier to get?

    Thank you in advance!

If you are eligible for the USCG Licenses I would say follow that route.

I agree with K1W1. The US license is universally accepted, on both yachts and commercial vessels.

What license do you currently have?
