Does anyone know of a yard that builds an axebowed/wavepiercing yacht in the 40-55ft range?
Or of a designer with a concept?

    Reguards,
    Time.

Any yard can build an axe-bow, reverse-bow, ugly-bow, whatever you want to call a wrong-way-bow boat. The question becomes which yard is willing to expose themselves to the potential liability. A sub-60', backwards-bow boat is prone to becoming... a sub. I'll leave the hazards that follow to your imagination.

If you're planning a purpose-built, one-off vessel such as the Craig Loomes designed Earthrace trimaran, where the crew is encapsulated and guest exposure to the elements is a non-issue, then by all means, build it. Oh... and don't forget a large storage room onboard for an infinite supply of windshield wiper blades.

    OK... I'm being theatrical.
