Hi all. I am Tim. Glad to find a spot where Post owners hang. I have been interested in owning a Post Yacht for sometime now. Actually since a few years back when I came across a web site detailing a restore of a 1961 Post 37' named Sanzone. Google Post and Sanzone. By the time I got to the end of the article I knew I must own one of these classic yachts. Thats where the dilemma started. It didn't take long to figure out that there are just a few Post Yachts on the west coast and fewer if any for sale. If I could bring myself to settle for another make of a Sport Fisher, this little itch would be a lot easier to scratch. But as it goes with me, I would rather go without than settle.

So my plea goes out to you fine folks on the other side. If you happen to cross paths with a 1975 or newer 42' + that needs lots of love and a new home, there are a few sturgeon on the Columbia river with my name on them. Good day. t

    Hi Tip

Does the phrase " needs lots of love" equal " needs lots of work"?

and what kind of price range are you considering?

You should be able to truck a 42' if need be, with removal of a few things bridge etc...... There's a 46' I think on here that has a lot of updates but needs love for around 80k if you look. I think......

Thanks for the responses. The quotes I have received so far put transport cost around 18k for a 42. Our budget is only 75k so I am looking for something in the 50k<. As usual I have more time than money but even if I could afford to spend more I am really looking for a project to do with the kids and grand kids. t

    Post 43

I have a Post 43 hull #001. It is in very good shape but needs 1 engine overhauled. 6V92TI's 540hp. It is located on the wrong coast for you (NH), but if you have an interest and $55,000.00 we can talk.

Did you sell your 43 Post? $55,000 seems pretty low for one in good shape other than 1 engine needing work. Is the economy that bad for boat sales?
