Lightning Damage To Sailboat on Stands

    Not 5 feet from a utility pole, yet the power was not interrupted.
    Blew out at least 3 holes in the boat.
    You can see the travel path in the paint right to the stand chains.
    The earth you see was disturbed by the strike.
    Looks like it came down the sail roller, in thru the anchor chain and on down the line.

    Lightning is so unpredictable.
    The utility pole 5 feet away has two transformers and a driven ground rod.
    There is a 100 X 80 foot metal building 100 feet away.
    The Lord must have really hated this particular boat.
