Launching Adobe Reader from Firefox; OS Win 7

    I'm unable to launch PDFs from Firefox. I Googled around and it was suggested that an add-on could be interfering with Adobe's Reader, using Firefox in Windows 7. I disabled all my add-ons, but to no avail. I get the attached message. No problem launching PDFs from IE or Chrome. Anyone else experience this?

    Try removing the add-on then installing it again because it is a runtime error, so if all your security settings of the browser are okay, then it is the installation at best guess.

    Good luck with that.

    Check the settings.

    In the application panel you can set the action for Acrobat docs.
    Try to set it to open with Adobe reader.

    Hope it helps a little.

    Thank you Ju52! In Adobe Reader X, go to... File> Preferences> Select Default PDF Handler. It requires a system reboot. Fixed now!
