It seems to me that different megayacht builders have different processes when delivering their yachts. A Lurssen yacht leaves the shed painted looks almost complete on the exterior yet it takes months for delivery so I'm guessing the interior is done out of the shed. In the meantime Oceanco especially and Feadship to some degree yacht leaves the shed and in a matter of weeks after few trials leaves the yard for delivery. Does anyone know more about the details of how and why they do what they do. I appreciate the replies, happy holidays to all.

That is something I've always wondered about as well. Really makes you think. Could it be due to the size and the volume that is done. Like recent Lurrsens are massive. Some of Feadships and Oceanco yachts seem a lot smaller.
To me this could very well be a reason why there is a delay in delivery.
