Hi to all, this is my first post on a yacht forum. I think after searching the net that this may be the place to get answers to my questions.
Well as part of a deal on one of my villas a buyer wants to put up a Ladenstein 2100 yacht as part payment.
yester day i took a yacht specialist with me to Holland to see it, the specialist has never seen a Ladenstein befor so although he is doing a detailed survey he can not give me any feed back as to ownership of a Ladenstein. I have searched the net and have even visited the Ladenstein website, but i would like to hear any acual owners feed back and valid opinions of this boat. At over a 1,000,000 euros i would like to know opinions please, can you help me please?? Or point me in the right direction of finding feedback? Thankyou.

Ok thanks, its a 2001 year model, and is the 2100 type(72ft), with one owner. With 4 cabins and 7 berth, the boat is fully loaded with air con and satnav. It seems a very nice boat and is currently being checked out by an expert. Any problems with these yachts? What am i letting my self in for problem wise? I know it would be alot easyer with another yacht like a sunseeker becourse quite a few people have them, but there dont seem to be any Ladenstein owners about.
Before i bought my first ferrari i joined the farrari owners forum and had a load of imfo on a model type i was looking at but cant find anything about the Ladenstein, so my frend looks like its up to you LOL! Or anyone else who would care to comment. Thanks.

Let me shed some information your way

I have sold a number of these yachts and was a captain of one in the Med. I have a good amount of experience with these yachts. You are right there is very limited information about these yachts and not alot of people have hands on knowledge. 6 months ago I returned from Hong Kong for a client that was trading a yacht of the same manufactor just a tad bit larger for a Island in Thialand ( consulted him on value ,sea worthyness etc... ) Ill be happy to send you specs and detailed information on this vessel please send me a direct e-mail address so I can send you all the info.

    Please send e-mail to:

    Ladenstein's

Ladensteins are true gems with operation, performance and very modern lines.
Built in Thailand these vessels offer very good preformance with a cored hull the weight of 80 ft vessel is only 35 tons. A light weight for a vessel of this size. Averaging 2 to 2.5 miles to a gallon. Speed up to 40 knots with twin MTU 1800 hp. A production vessel that has in my eyes as good if not better finish work then many custom vessel useing many exoric woods and marble rather then traditional laminite designer coverings. Allowing this vessel to what I call semi custom. Price for a
Ladenstein is very affordable for a vessel of 70 to 80 ft. 2.5m U.S. for new and a used one 2001 for around 1.5m U.S.
Being a captain of a 80 ft Ladenstein I was able to cruise the Med and undertake both trans atlantic and pacific crossings. The lightness of the weight of the vessel could be seen during heavy weather. The vessel had a tendencey to flex and twist. Not causing any structual damage. I have heard of Ladensteins and ViTechs experience twisting and have the house be alittle of center and never realign itself. Again to get the great performance of 40 knts of performance its all about weight and hull design and horse power. I mentioned ViTech another great boat and a boat that I would call a sister vessel to the Ladenstein. The ViTech is also constructed overseas in the same region a very light boat great finsh work but is very light ( on a 70 ft. ViTech at the slip when you step on the swim platform the vessel will move slightly ). The Ladenstein by far is better vessel with both how its equipped and performance. Price of the two vessles is shocking very simalar the Ladenstein is more but not by much and you get so much more boat.
Ladenstein only producing a very small and limited number of vessels each year. I believe there are only 36 documented vessels that I have been able to find throughout the world. I have looked at a number of vessels everywhere from Europe to Austarlia consulting with the possible purchase of the vessels. I have found in some of the older vessels to have some weakness in interior joining espically in the crown molding trim against the headliner. This is proubly due to the flexing and twisting of the vessel. I would reccomend a owner or a potential buyer to cunsult not just any surveyer but one that has performed surveys on a number of Ladenstein and a person to cunsult on more of the interior joining and effects of of the core construction of the vessel, hydros, etc.I myself has acted as someone that does consultations and have a very good surveyer that has performed surveys on a number of Ladenstein if interested. There are some years that have had more problems then others but this varys form vessel to vessel.

Im short great vessel for the money it can not be matched ( my opinion ).
If the weather gets ruff stay put enjoy all the creature comforts of the vessel and wait for calm weather rather then abuse such a nice vessel.
