Hi Boys and Girls,I,m a newbe here feeling my way Am I allowed to ask about the location of my favourite ketch? Tell.
Well Tell, we don't discuss owners on YF and for similar reasons, yacht locations aren't a pop topic unless it's pertinent to a discussion; if you ketch my drift. So what's your favorite staggered stick?
I love ketchs as well I have a number of favorite ketches including some of these by Rhodes, Alden, etc http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/general-sailing-discussion/6710-motor-sailers-philip-rhodes-john-alden.html ...and of course my 'single-masted ketch' design http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/general-catamaran-discussion/1548-gamefishing-sail-under-sail-power.html "..And the non-sailer could operate this sailing rig with ease.."
Countess 44 Ketch ...and here is a beautifull little Countess 44 ketch I ran across in Fla recently...for sale...wonderfully outfitted and maintained. If I were preparing to go off shore, I'd be bidding on this one. Regrettably I'm likely consigned to a canal boat at this time
Her name is "VICTORIA OF DUXBURY".Herreshoff 78ft.Used to live in St.Lucia.I,ve been Ketch spotting her for 10yrs.She features in Classic Yacht Interiors
Are you talking of this one here? http://www.victoriaofduxbury.com/ How about the beautiful Ticonderoga http://www.angelfire.com/tv2/bradk7zsd/ http://www.abordage.com/model-2-40.htmlhttp://www.abordage.com/model-2-40.html

Favourite ketch My favourite is the classic Alden "Royono". When i joined her she was still orignal allthough she leaked like a sieve. An amazing yacht to sail.
victoria of duxbury is starting new refit at valencia herreshof no 66 is starting new refit and upgrading
Found herr hey guys ive been living on Victoria in spain for the past year she is undergoing interior reconstruction, but is still the lovely boat you know
@Sailortellboy Last I was on her we installed a 50 kw generator, and were working on accommodations for crew. I've been off the yacht now for 2 years and I hear she may be in Greece. I myself would love to jump back on that boat. I had a full gym set up on the top sides while she was at Port in Spain such a lovely classic boat indeed. Also she can do 16 kts
The current owner also has wanted to race in Antigua race week against her sister ship Ticonderoga, so she may be in the Carib as well
