Abeking and Rasmussen 60-meter "Kaiser"​

"Kaiser" is the latest super yacht to be launched by German builder Abeking and Rasmussen. She is a sister ship to the 2009 launched "Elandess" (hull 6481). Kaiser is hull 6482 and features a design in and out by the same team that worked on the Elandess. Donald Starkey was involved in dealing with the exterior styling while Bannenberg and Rowell conceptualized the interior decoration.Kaiser's launch occured after the final delivery of the 78-meter "TITAN", (which is the third yacht in Abeking's 78-meter series). She's equipped with twin CAT diesel engines that facilitate her greater than 4,000 nautical mile range. Like her sisterhip (Elandess), the engine package is expected to produce a top speed of 16 knots with cruising at 14 knots.

The nearly 1,100 tonne yacht was built with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure. The steel hull is finished in dark blue while the superstructure in gleaming white. The new launch Kaiser will have to go through final fit-out, sea trials and other works before she is delivered to her owner(s) in early 2011.
