Hi, we are rectifying the engines (Detroit diésel 671-n 4 cylinder heads) And thinking of change the N-65 inyectors, to make the boat a little bit faster, i heard the maximum recommended are the n-70, but want to know your opinión cause i navigate a boat on N-80 but the engines ran a little bit hot.
Also what is the máximum rpm recommended if you change them.

    Regards

    Juan

We installed N-90s in a pair of low hours 6-71 N (4 valve heads) years ago. Originally N-60s. Never finished adding pitch before the owner sold her (needed another prop set). No more problems crawling up the backs of swells.
Same Max rpm with the same pistons. If your govenar is good now, no adjustments are needed there. Same timing tool for the rack set up.
