My 2000 Voyager came with an older zodiac. It is stored on the upper deck and is lifted with a crane rated for 600 lbs. I want to purchase a newer inflatable, considering the AB brand AB10VS DLX Over all size is very close to my current zodiac but it is heavier due to the interior fixtures. So any concerns storing boat on flybridge? Can’t find a weight limitation in my old paperwork Thanks for help
I have a contract signed to buy a 2001 450 and am curious as to the fit of your inflatable on the upper deck. Is there still room to clear the hatch and stairway with a 310? What type of chocks do you use? Thanks, Richard
The Zodiac 310 was right at 10ft if I remember right. I had a 6 hp Tahatsu outboard. The prop rest nicely on a wooden block which just allowed hatch to be closed. However rarely did we close it I have replaced it with a AB model slightly longer with a 20 hp Honda. Now the prop extends over the hatch along with the end of the tubes. But it does not impact access up the hatch. I am under 5’9” and have plenty of clearance. If over 6ft a little ducking might be in order It is supported by 4 Stanchions that are removable and adjustable We do not use the hatch much so it was an easy choice to go with the bigger inflatable. In fact I’m probably going to remove it completely
Thank you very much for your quick response and pictures! This will be the third (and I hope final) 450 we have tried to buy. The logistics of buying a boat far from home have always been an adventure, and this time around we could write a book. Best regards, Richard
