  1. Riva unveils the 88-foot 'Miami' sportsyacht

Riva continually expands and reinvents the products in its line. The latest project they have been working on is a 87.7-foot yacht they are calling the 'Miami'. This will be an open air style yacht will plenty under the hood to produce the horsepower needed for blistering offshore speeds. There will be engine options available from MTU but using the MTU 16V 2000 M93s it should be able to run at 38.5-knots maximum speed. Cruising will be around 34-knots and expect a range of approximately 340 nautical miles.

The Miami is envisioned to carry 7,500 LT of fuel and 900 LT of water so she can host quite a few people for a day offshore. The 88-footer gives a seemingly generous 20.4-foot overall beam and inside she is offering four cabins plus two crew. She's got plenty of open areas to relax on, sunpad on the open aft...U-shaped seating on the bow and more seating in the shade under the hardtop. This area also hosts a dining table for eating al fresco. Riva says the first hull in this new model is expected to launch at the end of 2014.
