  1. 40-meter Sloop "Extreme" in-build at Mengi-Yay

A new sloop is currently under construction at the Mengi-Yay shipyard in Turkey. She is to have an LOA of 40-meters, a beam of 8.95-meters molded (9.20 BOA) and displace around 285.75-tonnes. Her name currently is "Extreme" bearing both Naval Architecture and design by Ginton Naval Architects.

There are six rooms for guests accommodating twelve overall. Seven crew members are expected to run the vessel and for them there are three double cabins as well as a captain’s cabin. Additionally there is a spacious mess-room for the crew adjacent to a well equipped general galley. The interior has been designed by Guido de Groot.

Twin CAT C-18's are expected to run the new Ginton-designed sloop to 14-knots. 23,000 LT capacity fuel tanks ensure that a range of 3,000 nautical miles at 10-knots can be attained. Apparently the hull structure is nearing completion with the aluminum superstructure well underway. Expect the Ginton-designed 40-meter sloop to be delivered in Spring 2013.
