  1. Heysea Yachts Sign Contract for 40-meter Catamaran
Chinese yacht building manufacturer Heysea Yachts announce that it has signed a new contract for a 40-meter catamaran platform. The contract signing happened in October 2014 and is expected that the yacht will be delivered in approximately two years, October 2016. It appears as though the hulls will be built from steel while the superstructure is to be fashioned from composite materials. She will be 40-meters LOA and have a beam of 12-meters or nearly 40-feet overall. The draft will be just 2.30-meters at full load. The yacht will take on a three-deck arrangement, lower, main and upper internal decks. There is access to an open-air sun deck great for the new owner. Performance wise she will feature two Volvo engines, at 725-horsepower each with the ability to run up to 15-knots.
