I have several questions about 'opting out' of the non-Republic, and I hope to get a variety of pointers from some of you more seasoned mariners. What other group is better prepared to tell the Queen where to stick-it when she sends out her hooded henchmen?

Essentially, the so-called 'Crown' Colonies all offer the same protections under British Common Law, which is ALWAYS superceded by Maritime Law. Maritime Law is suspended under Marshal Law, and all of the aforementioned may be innuled by the War Powers Acts. (Google: Congressional monkey-house.)

Ultimately, for some, the future is either silver, or gold. In short, I am wondering What sort of paper work does it really require to fully denounce the long arm of Uncle Sam?

And, of course, let's not forget the snorkeling, fishing, art, etc...

Not even a nibble? Perhaps I shoulda started my thread more like this:

"I've just come into a fortune and was wondering if perhaps I should spend a little of it on one of these pretty, super-sized party yachts... Ideas, suggestions?"

Of course you know better. I won't so much as sign my real name with capital letters, or use a checkbook. And I truly am freaked out everytime my favorite site(s) go down, ever wondering when the local power will follow suit. That's why I'm into Tesla's single node power transmission, and every aspect of wave generation, from the earth's harmonic (7.5hz) through the (est 13GHz) satellite-locator -jaming range. Beneath my current cynicism, is of course the prayer that our nation will continue to thrive, without destroying the very source of our livlihood. But, I'm afraid the fix is in.

Does this remotely pertain to boats? -Offshoring assest? Yes, but here's the bombshell. Take a close look at the NA Continental shelf, particularly that portion which runs the length of the East Coast. Now imagine it lifting from the sea and then levelling-off, say 120miles west of its current location. That's what's coming kids... When the Andreas, and/or Yellowstone blows!

Oh, nevermind. Sorry to bother y'all. I'll go back to the tech threads and be a good bosun's mate!

If you're really serious about this, I'd start by doing some research into that little country just south of the state of Quintanaroo, Mexico. It's probably your best bet... with the small Dutch island off the coast of Venezuela running a close 2nd.

A boat, any boat, would do you a world of good, IMHO.

There's a plethora of websites on ex-patting, but few are conclusive. I have no idea about the process or the paperwork involved, but I think they've put a noose around most of the loopholes. Still, if you want to opt-out... you're responsible for up to ten years from what I've read.

    Lol

Princess Larissa kindly just offered me her extra tender, now you're sentencing me to a full ten years on the run? -There, there he is! We got him! See that little white spec. on Google Earth?

But, I can't take you up on that lazy little Dutch way-point off Venezuela. It too will rise.

Regardless of the publicity nonsense the 'warming' is precisely cyclical. As I see it, you need be around +350', give-or-take your distance from the oncoming tsunami, should say, 'Diamond Point' suddenly blow. Though dormant for centuries, if something this significant happens I would advise everyone to abandon ship and run!

    ...I know, I promised...

    Bingo!

I just received two replies that don't appear in the cue. Thanks TK-

"A company incorporated in the BVIs with a second company, maybe in HK appointed as the directors and sole shareholder and a shareholders written resolution appointing you as the company's attorney in Fact."

Just want to work out my options before registering for a patent. This pertains to boats and batteries, and while not very scientific, it could bring big changes to the industry. My partner, (who has filed around 12,) says don't trust an American atty., based on his ordeals in Vegas. No, it hadn't occurred to me that, under a non-disclosure relation, I could call myself an atty.! Talk about wearing many different hats.

Writing in white ;). There is a very loyal attorney in HK should you require his services. Should be far enough from Motherland :)

    Ye olde 'nome d'plume.'

I get an idea a minute. A million-dollar idea each week. It's interesting, because though I never intend to write a book, (any book,) but I once created a hypothetical company with (12) eloquent surnames, one for each titled department 'officer'. My 'dossier' therefore read as a masthead, like those I had spent so many years skimming to develop my 'target-lists.' Monsieur Albert d'Angelo, C.E.O., and crazy names like that. Actually, it was more or less done by criss-crossing the first and last names from several film credits, as they went whipping by.

So, what's it take to make-up a virtual company, or a whole island Nation for that matter?

Point well taken. It all comes down to befriending a lawyer you can really trust. And, that will certainly depend greatly on their real office location.

Not much, some $s, in the low 4 digits, a choice of name, your instructions and that's basically it ;).

    Second Base!

Perfect. I am reminded of Jacob, the HK foreign student that lived with us when I was a kid. He went on to become the project AIA of the Woolworth Building, in NYC, and he invited us all to their grand re-opening party to show his appreciation to mom & dad for their support. Later, we heard he headed some outfit in San Fransisco, but have lost touch since the late 80's....

Second point. Loosely speaking, the bad boys that I know with the amazing 'battery reconditioning charger,' have just accepted my offer. They like my idea, but especially because I am so committed to see it through. We've still got to take it to the patent-stage. 'Party C,' -Vegas, has dropped-out, saying we could have achieved much more, years ago.

Now, remember the cat behind Rybovich? He just bought my friend Ray's company called "SmartWorld Organics." ...Hummm, do you suppose he would be interested in a much, much 'greener' way to enjoy 'boating?'

(Agricultural 'organic' turn-arounds: http://www.smartwp.com *SmartTea and TEK* )

Now I'm off to meet the real nano-tech pioneer(s) who are going to help me make all this 'watertight,' for their interest in the materials thus required.
