I could be wrong, but I believe thats 46. It usually comes with cummins. I prefer the cats. In either 97 or 98 Cat put out a bad batch. I had 2 friends who lost both motors, but Cat was Johnny on the spot getting them taken care of. By now yours were either fixed or they weren't involved. I've had that boat in 10-12' headseas with an extended hydrolic platform and an inflatable on back coming from Georgetown to Charlestown then turning broadside to them for the Charlestown entrance (I believe that's 9 miles).
Thought I was going to die, but we made it. She's a good handling boat. I've also had 3 friends with that boat (different years). All liked them. You should probably expect a 21-23 kt cruis speed. Good luck.

This 45 sundancer also has a tnt swimplatform lift. He says out of date 1998 and needs to be replaced. Any idea of replacement cost.

i'd get rid of it. The replacement cost is about $10,000 here (maybe more these days) and the boat handles better without it, increases speed and decreases fuel consumption. If you insist on an added platform add a fixed. If you want to carry a dink use a flip-up hinge.
