And everything else for that matter.
My older Furuno was having some issues so I have been watching an auction on Ebay for an almost new Furuno 72 mile radar with a 6' open array. The bidders dropped out one by one over the last week till one guy had the high bid at $3800.00 for the past two days. He must have been snoozing because I pulled my famous move & jumped into the bidding with 20 seconds to go. HEHEHE, I won it for $3850.00! I was going to go as high as $5100.00 for the unit which sells for $10k new
    ooooh yeah!

Now, How am I going to get it from the guy in Nigeria? LOL kidding!

    Hey Wild Child!

I've never used eBay, but I'm about to sign up. I came across a professionally built model of a 72' Donzi Sportfish. A gentleman who lives down the street from me has been a model ship builder (by profession) for 20 years. His work is on display in museums. Anyhow, he built this Donzi a couple of years ago, set it up for r/c, but he never installed the electronics. This thing is gorgeous! It was based on a kit from Dumas, no longer in production.

Well, his wife has been sick and he asked me if I would help him sell it. At first, I thought YF might be the way, but it would probably bring top dollar in eBay. What I do know is this... r/c yachts of this scale and level of execution, such as the Vikings (below) built by Captains Models, cost more than $10,000!

He just finished installing the electronics. He wants $5000 for for everything, but I think it's worth more. Thought I'd put it on eBay for him because he knows nothing about computers. When I get a chance, I'll post some pictures. In the meantime, here's the Vikings produced by Captains Models...

    Wow, those are beautiful!
Carl, I'd be happy to list it for you. I have 100% positive feedback & am rated high on ebay. I could put it in the right category & maintain the auction. I can cancel if the price is not going high enough by saying in the add that "the boat is for sale locally and may be sold and auction cancelled without notice".
Let me know if I could help.
How many do I have to sell to get a 50' Bertram model??;)

Thanks Dave! That would be most excellent. :)

I'm thinking we should offer it to YF members first. We've got one Donzi owner (screen name Fish) that might enjoy having this. Heck, we could even change the name to Idall Time and let your friends think it's a Bertram!

I'll post pics in the next couple of days...
