How about some feedback? Both of these engines are lightweight, reasonably priced, have been around for some time but seem to lack traction. Anybody have any experience with them?

I understand that Steyr built in Austria, sold 100% of the company to the Chinese but kept the manufacturing in Austria and expanded the factory. A few places here are dealers but very little information about the engine even thought they have been around for some time.

Hyundai has a nice V6 that I am interested in was S250 hp now up to S270hp. Very popular "down under" and Peninsular is one of the big distributors here amongst others. Again, not much said about them. But they weigh about 200lbs less and 12" shorter than the gas alternative that I would use. And it seems to be about 20k very reasonable. It seems too dreamy. I would "reduce the over population" to have some good hard feedback.

I know nothing about these motors, but one of the main things you need to consider when buying anything marine is its service network and parts availability. You don't want to sit all season waiting for a part or be stuck where nobody is familiar or authorized to service it. Another thing is how it'll affect resale.
