Anyone have a Sealift system? Likes, dislikes, pros, cons? I'm looking at buying a 44 ft cruiser hopefully with one already. Quotes of $30-40K for this size installation. Rated for 1000-1100 lb. Besides the huge outlay of cash anyone wishing they didn't have one? I hear if you do the suggested maintenance they are worry free but any neglect and you are in for trouble. Well that can be said for just about all maintenance on a salt water boat. Jetski around 700-800lb would that be too close to the rated load? Console dinghy w/motor around 400lb, obviously safer. Someone I know uses his with jetski and tow whaler behind as well but they don't go far or out often, I do and would, too much fun!
    Thanks for your feedback.

That would be too close to the rated weight IMHO. 2 people standing there and you're over.
I had one client who removed his, because he'd stuck it on a 50' sport fish. It looked rediculous, and upset the balance of the boat. It was never used to put anything on, but he couldn't get $10,000 on resale one year later.
The only problems I've ever experienced with them is on one boat where it had an electrical fire.
Overall I'd rate them as good, and very convenient. The size of your boat does concern me though, as well as it being a Cruisers. One client put it on a 43' Sea Ray. He lost about 4 kts., burned a bunch more fuel and had to work to get onto plane. Stick about 1,500 lbs in the back of your boat to simulate and take the boat out for a run. See how that handles, before you make the investment.
