    Hi all,

There is a 100 mile stretch of Florida's Gold Coast w/o power, including myself so... I took a drive up to Stuart, which is around 70 miles north of where I live (Boca Raton). I hear the hardest hit of all the communities is Ft. Pierce, which is about 20 miles north of Stuart. I didn't have enough fuel to go to Ft. Pierce, as there are no gas stations open.

These pics are in random order. I don't have enough juice on the laptop to ad lib each one, but a picture is worth a thousand words. Here we go...

The first picture could have been repeated 100's of times. This is what billboard advertising looks like all over the east coast of Florida (no joke)...

These traffic light pictures represent A LOT of intersections through out Stuart and north to Ft. Pierce. There was no wind blowing when I took this pic, they are bent from the force of the wind when Frances came through.

This one is hard to believe. This is a 200 foot long section of a concrete wall that was blown over....

OK, let's go onto the boats and marinas. This was a rack storage marina in Jupiter.

Check out the name of this sailboat... "Summerwind". Appropriate, huh?

As I'm driving over the Stuart Bridge, I see something that looks like a mast. It is!

You'll need a dinghy to get to your boat here...
