I wondered if anyone has ever tried using something like Line-x or other pickup bed liner on their hull. I noticed Line-x now sez they have a stronger "armor" coating for the military. Would that stuff make a super long lasting bottom covering? They show that you can make it very smooth by standing with in about a foot of the object. Would the bottom stay cleaner or be easier to clean with this covering?
A friend of mine just had the inside of a 13' Boston Whaler done by them. He is happy because it covered up a lot of flaws on the inside of a 1960's Boston Whaler. They did it in the origional blueish color and it was around $700. However, it's too early to tell it's longevity but it is definately a rougher coating like they use on their bedliners.....
Or how about we just stretch latex across the bottom of the hull, then release it once a month to break the barnacles free...
