Hi group, I'm new to this forum, and new to boats in general, so just getting my feet wet here. Excuse me if not know the right lingo for everything. But here goes. I'm considering a used Magellano, and have found one. Unfortunately, this yacht has significant damage to the hull - which is gray. There are long scrapes and at one point, even all the way through the gel coat so the glass fiber is exposed. Is it possible to spot fix it or does it require the entire hull to be repainted? Where on the US West coast does one go to get that done? Thank you in advance! Christian
There are many yards that can fix it. You will never match gray if it's metallic. Just paint the hull, it's not that costly to paint the hull and it will all look pristine. Probably about $400-500 per foot.
